Wedding festivities have begun...

Kris is getting married and we are SO excited!!! : )
Alli, Katie, Laura, Lauren and I hosted a bridal shower at Lauren & Matt's house on June 25th. We also had a 6th honorary hostess in Barb Schickner! Who knows what the shower would have looked like without all of her amazing help!!! *Side note: If you're planning a wedding, Katie and Barb are AMAZING wedding coordinators! www.kateandcampbellweddings.com

Here are some of Barb's gorgeous flower arrangements (an no, my pictures do not do them justice!):

We also had enough food for 6 times as many people, but who can complain when it's delicious Mexican food from Tin Lizzy's!? YUM!!!

And, the margarita station! : )

Some of the girls waiting for Kris to start opening gifts!

Laura wrote us all several months ago and said that she had come up with an idea... She wanted all of us to send her something from our wedding day (a piece of our dress, veil, shoes, etc.) and she was going to have her mom make a garter out of it for Kris' wedding day. How cute is that!? So, we all did and Claire made an amazing garter that is SO special and embroidered all of our names into the inside along with Kris' wedding date! I love it and I think Kris really did too! : )
Laura also wrote a sweet poem in the card.

Kris, we can't wait for November 5th!!! : )

Tripp's First Birthday Bash...

I seriously can't believe Tripp was born a year ago already!!! I know we'll be saying that about Asa in the blink of an eye!
Joe and Ginna had Tripp's 1st B-day party at their house June 25th (Tripp's actual B-day) and everything was absoulely ADORABLE!!! Ginna really outdid herself with decorations, etc.!

Flint's getting ready to swim and McRae is impatiently waiting for him! : ) So cute!

Time for the B-day cupcake! : ) He did so well with it... minus the small mishap of sticking his hand in the candle fire while we were singing Happy Birthday! : )

Just a little cupcake stache! : )

You know you're in your 3rd Trimester when...

(Updated 7/7/11)

I'm sure I'll forget some of my current woes, but here's my list:

1. I'm pretty sure I waddled today... NOT OK!!!
2. I'm in the bathroom every 15 minutes
3. I can't really sleep- not continuously anyway
4. I can't seem to get comfortable- in any position- anywhere
5. I would skip every meal and eat nothing but dessert if no one judged me
6. I am SOOO tired!!!
7. I can't bend over very easily
8. Clay has to help me get off the couch (granted, we do have a ridiculously deep and cushy couch)
9. It's not very easy to get in and out of the car
10. I've noticed that I grunt a lot... when doing most anything
11. I wouldn't necessarily say that I'm "nesting", but I'm definitely more worried about clutter, etc. than normal (Clay is VERY excited)
12. I am in the bathtub about as much as I'm out of it
13. I'm just a wee little bit emotional sometimes (read- totally and utterly crazy)
14. I just want to sit in the nursery- just sit there... for no reason
15. I drink ridiculous amounts of water and it's still just not enough
16. I get winded SO easily
17. Nosebleeds... lots of them
18. Leg cramps every night, some of which make me JUMP out of bed to try and tend to
19. Two words... ACID.REFLUX!!! How did I forget this one the first time I posted this list!? I have never had heartburn or reflux issues, but man, this is NOT fun! Mostly it's just at night when I lie down to go to bed, but regardless... I'm ready for it to end!

Hmmm... yeah, I guess I'll stop my complaining there! : )
I should also say that I'm totally and completely ecstatic to be pregnant and can't wait to meet my sweet baby boy! : ) All of these stupid little things will be so worth it in just a couple short months!!!

Summer Hummer...

The Country Club Member/Guest tournament is Father's Day weekend every year and it never disappoints! : ) Thankfully, it's as much fun for significant others as it is for the boys playing. This year, Clay invited my dad to be his guest for the tournament and they won their flight! Yay! : ) They also did really well in the shoot-out, just not as well as either of them wanted to... maybe next time! : )

The Friday of the tournament is the big party. So, we took a couple pictures before we left:

Mom LOVES having her picture taken! : )

During the shootout... Dad helping Clay read his line:

Updated belly pictures...

I still feel like my size fluctuates, but the baby belly has definitely not disappeared! : )

Nursery updates...

We still have a good bit to do, and the glider still hasn't come in, but here are some nursery updates! : )

The new, CORRECT hutch!

Even Reed loves it! : )

His clothes all organized by month! : )

Rib update...

Just a quick little update...

Sweet Baby Asa decided to give mom a break and moved off of my ribs a couple days after I started hurting. So, the pain only lasted about 2 days... thank goodness! I truly didn't know what I was going to do if that lasted for the remainder of my pregnancy! : )

Clay and I were watching TV, he was sitting to the left of me and I was leaned against him. All of a sudden, I felt this SUPER WEIRD sensation and could tell that Asa had moved from right to left. It was so strange! I told Clay about it and didn't really think anything else of it. Suddenly, about 5 minutes later, I realized I wasn't really hurting anymore! I made Clay pause the TV, literally jumped off the couch, moved in all different directions and screamed and jumped up and down with excitement! : ) My ribs still felt a little bruised, but NOTHING like what I had been feeling! So, apparently, instead of kicking my ribs like I thought, Asa had just been sitting on them!

Thanks Baby Asa! : )
